"Mr. Arrow was a….fine spacer….better than any of us could hope to be. But he knew the risk. As do us all. Back to you post." Amelia goes up to her room and locks the door. She sits in front of her desk with her hands covering her face and starts to cry. Mr. Arrow had always been there for her, even when she was little he would protect her and care for her. But now he was gone, gone without warning.
Amelia sits there and cries until she hears a knock on her door. Her ears perk up out of instinct to catch the sound of who it was. "Captain, are you alright?" Amelia dries her eyes and opens the door enough to look out and see Dr. Doppler standing there. "Captain I know this is a bad time but maybe you might want to talk about this event?" Amelia shakes her head "I just want to be left alone." "They say that talking about it makes you feel better." He says trying get her to talk "No."  She shuts the door and locks it and leans on the door and sighs. After a few minutes she hears the Doctor leave.
During the night Amelia gains up the strength to leave her room and go outside. She sees Jim sitting on the side of the boat upset with himself for letting this happen. "Poor kid." Amelia says to herself quietly
She continues on to and gets to the room, she stands there looking at the door as if it would open by itself. "You know you have to turn the knob if you want to go in there right?" says a voice making Amelia jump. "Doctor! What are you doing out?" She says back to her normal moody self "I was just getting some water when I saw you standing here. Are you alright?" "Yes…." He looks at her and sees her eyes where puffy and red, she had been crying recently and her hair was messed up.
Doppler puts his hand on her shoulder "Come on......I'll go with you." Amelia opens the door and goes in a bed room. It was Arrows bed room. Amelia looks around the room, she had never been in his room before. As she walks around the room her foot bumps into a box under his bed. Curiously she picks up the box and sits on his bed with Doppler and opens it. Inside was a letter that read
"If  you are reading this that means I am gone, for those many years I have served helping out my dear Captain where the best years of my life. I wouldn't have changed them for anything in the galaxy. My dear Captain, if this is you reading this I want you to know that I will always loved taking care of you. I want you to keep moving on. Don't stop living just because I did. Your first mate Mr. Arrow."
"Captain? Are you alright?" Doppler asks looking at Amelia. Suddenly Amelia does something Doppler never thought he would see the Captain do. She hugs him and starts crying. At first it's a shock, he had never in the few months that he had been on the ship ever seen any emotion beside aggression come from the Captain towards him. "There there, it's alright." "Why did he have to leave? Why couldn't it have been me?" he hears from Amelia "Because you still have a duty to fill. You have me, Jim and the rest of the crew towards our treasure hunt. If you would have gone we never would make it and of course the fact that I kinda like you would be terrible if you went….oh shoot did I say that out loud?" Amelia stops crying and looks up at him "What?"
"Nothing! Nothing." He holds her close "What I'm trying to say is. We need you Captain, we got to keep moving onward. It's what Arrow wants." Amelia sighs "You're right. I've been childish and I'm sorry." Amelia doesn't move "Uh…Captain?" Doppler looks down and sees Amelia has fallen asleep leaning on him. She finally understood that she wasn't alone."
